Job title: Accounts Payable Specialist Company: Transformation Church Job description: This position is responsible for all aspects of the accounts payable process. The Accounts Payable Specialist is charged with the responsibility of precise execution, administration, and stewardship of the ministry's finances in accordance with general accounting standards and the core values of Transformation Church. Heart: Passion + Purpose • This person must demonstrate a stable, mature Christian walk, reflecting the fruit of the spirit. • Passion for helping others identify their God-given purpose and work in that calling effectively • Passion for helping the church expand our vision through empowering partners to participate in the unity • Be an initiator, solution-focused, servant spirit, and supportive team member • Willing to become a member of Transformation Church and support the vision through accurate financial reporting and stewardship Hand: Responsibilities + Duties • Handle processing of all vendor invoices, requisitions, and credit memos • Ensure proper invoice approvals are adequately documented • Research and resolve any accounts payable-related discrepancies • Reconcile purchasing card expenditures • Disburse vendor payments by check or EFT in accordance with established payment terms • Audit invoices to validate the correct general ledger coding • Maintain and cultivate good relationships with partners, vendors, and creditors • Organize and file documents for future reference • Obtain W9s for contracted vendors • Maintain an accurate list of 1099 vendors and ensure the end-of-year distribution of 1099 forms is executed • Assist in streamlining the accounts payable process Head: Knowledge + Training • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) • Must have 1 -2 years of relevant experience • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, proficient in managing multiple tasks, flexible in accepting additional responsibilities • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills • Experience with Microsoft office platforms • Capable of learning other required software platforms utilized by the church • Maintains confidentiality in all situations Expected salary: Location: Tulsa, OK Job date: Wed, 31 Aug 2022 06:02:46 GMT Apply for the job now!
