Discover Impactful Work As a Biosciences Account Manager within our Benelux team, you will drive growth by promoting our comprehensive portfolio of life science technologies and solutions across Belgium. Supporting research in cell biology, protein biology, and molecular biology, you will play a key role in advancing scientific discovery. This is a field-based role, where you will spend approximately 4 days per week visiting customers, building strong relationships and identifying new opportunities, while working from home on non-travel days. You will act as a trusted advisor, driving sales growth by connecting customer needs with tailored solutions and contributing directly to our mission and commercial success. A Day in the Life: - Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets - Identify and convert opportunities within new and existing accounts through consultative selling - Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across academic customers - Understand customer workflows, applications, and challenges to deliver value-driven solutions - Manage and grow your sales pipeline and customer data using Salesforce CRM - Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and technical teams to deliver seamless customer experiences - Participate in ongoing sales, product, and systems training to continuously develop your skills - Contribute to marketing campaigns, strategic initiatives, and special projects - Share insights, successes, and challenges to enhance team performance and operational excellence What to expect: - Field-based role with approximately 4 days per week visiting customers - Opportunity to build strong customer relationships across Belgium - Combination of customer-facing activities and remote work - Continuous learning through sales, product, and systems training - Active contribution to team collaboration and commercial success Keys to Success: Education - Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field (Master’s preferred) Experience - 3–5+ years of sales experience in life sciences, laboratory, or healthcare, or scientific research experience with a strong interest in sales - Proven success in achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships Knowledge, Skills, Abilities - Strong understanding of life science applications and the ability to translate complex science into customer value - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills - Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels - Strong organizational and time management skills, with adaptability in a dynamic environment - Experience with Salesforce CRM, MS Office, and AI-based productivity tools - Fluency in Dutch and English (French is a plus) - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 50–75% within Belgium - Alignment with Thermo Fisher’s core values: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement Competencies - High-performing and collaborative mindset - Commitment to quality, performance, and innovation - Strong customer focus and consultative approach - Ability to work independently in a field-based role while contributing to team success Benefits: We offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
