Description

We are looking for an Administrative Section Supervisor in South Central Region in our Public Pest and
Recycling Assistance Branch of the Division of Environmental Services.
The duties of this position will be:
- Supervises inspectors in the West Section of the Public Pest and Recycling Assistance Branch.
Including assisting and performing inspections with inspectors. Conducts performance
evaluations. Oversee employee scheduling and monitoring of time, attendance, and conduct with
daily oversight of all activity; authorizes overtime/leave.
- Communicate on a consistent basis with the branch manager and division director. Provide
information about work schedules and staff assignments.
- Conduct face to face meetings with local government officials, Cooperative Extension staff, and
public health departments to describe the functions of the branch’s programs. Schedule
requested services with the aforementioned individuals. Provide branch manager with a detailed
report of meeting and resulting requests for service.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner and follow department vehicle policy and procedures. Oversee
and assist with the maintenance of department equipment. Maintain an accurate record of
material and supply usage and distribution.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Four years of professional administrative experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:
A master's degree in public or business administration or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
Additional administrative, business or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
