Salary and Benefits:

This is a career ladder position, allowing for grade level progression from GL-9 to GS-11 to GS-12.

Incentives:
Recruitment Incentive: Up to $20,000 for newly appointed Agents.
Retention Incentive: Eligible Agents may qualify for up to $40,000 distributed over their first four years.

Questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws and inspecting documents.
Apprehending individuals involved in smuggling and illegal entry.
Using advanced technology for operations, including surveillance and tracking.

Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with at least three years of primary residency.
Age restriction applies; candidates must be referred before turning 40, with some exceptions for veterans.
No education substitutions for GL-9 or GS-11 roles.
