Clyde & Co is seeking a highly motivated attorney with 1-3 years of experience in complex insurance coverage litigation. The role involves analyzing insurance policies, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and attending depositions and hearings.
Responsibilities
- Analyze insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions and providing coverage advice and recommendations
- Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda
- Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with supporting briefs and other legal correspondence
- Prepare formal correspondence to opposing counsel and other parties
- Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required
Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in complex insurance coverage litigation matters
- Excellent academic credentials
- Admitted to practice in California
- Excellent legal research, writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature
- Ability to handle time sensitive matters, sometimes several simultaneously
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
- Admitted to other states (particularly TX, NY, WA, or CO) is an asset
- Experience in commercial general liability is preferred
- Federal court experience
