About the Role
Our client is a well-established, mission-driven community health organization based in Colorado, serving residents across multiple locations for over 60 years. They provide high-quality, affordable healthcare services to people of all ages, regardless of ability to pay, covering primary care, behavioral health, dental, home health, hospice, and prevention programs, with 1 in 3 people in their region relying on their services.
We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Bilingual Operator to support this organization's patients by coordinating appointment scheduling and facilitating clear, accurate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care. Full professional fluency in both English and Spanish is required for this role.
Core Responsibilities
Appointment Scheduling
- Schedule patient appointments according to clinical guidelines and patient needs
- Manage daily provider calendars, including rescheduling appointments and notifying patients promptly of any changes
Patient Communication
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding clinic services or direct concerns to the appropriate department
- Relay patient messages and requests to providers accurately and in a timely manner
- Follow up with patients and providers as needed to ensure resolution and continuity of care
Administrative Tasks
- Set appointment follow-up reminders to support ongoing patient treatment and care coordination
- Maintain accurate documentation within scheduling and EMR systems
Candidate Qualifications
Must-Haves
- 1+ years of customer service or call center experience, healthcare setting preferred
- Full professional fluency in both English and Spanish, written and spoken
- Experience using EHR/EMR systems and scheduling software
- Experience using Microsoft Teams and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail with high data-entry accuracy
Good to Haves
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Familiarity with common medical terms and procedures
