Description
We are seeking an innovative, digitally fluent executive to lead our content vision and help drive audience growth and engagement across all platforms. The Vice President, Content is BridgeTower Media’s senior-most editorial leader, responsible for defining and executing a modern, digital-first content strategy across all brands and markets. This executive will lead and develop editorial teams, drive meaningful audience engagement, implement AI- and data-enhanced workflows, and ensure BridgeTower’s content meets the highest standards of relevance, quality, and engagement.
This individual will partner closely with Digital Product, Audience Development, Marketing, and the Events Team to build a cohesive, growth-focused content ecosystem. This is a transformative leadership role built for a digital native who thrives at the intersection of journalism, data, product, and audience strategy.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a remote position that requires travel across our markets as needed.
Duties + Responsibilities:
Editorial Leadership & Digital Transformation
- Lead newsroom strategy and operations across BridgeTower’s portfolio.
- Champion a digital-first mindset and ensure consistent execution across all brands.
- Establish editorial priorities, standards, workflows, and KPIs.
- Coach and mentor editors on digital storytelling, speed, quality, and relevance.
Audience Growth & Data-Driven Strategy
- Own and optimize performance metrics: traffic, engagement, newsletter growth, conversions, retention, and audience development.
- Leverage analytics to guide editorial decisions, resource allocation, and content planning.
- Partner with Audience Development and Product Management to refine distribution, newsletters, social presence, and multichannel engagement strategies.
- Build a culture of data literacy and accountability within the editorial team.
AI Enablement & Digital Skills Training
- Lead training programs on digital best practices, SEO, analytics, newsletter engagement, multimedia, and social distribution.
- Develop an AI-forward editorial framework, ensuring ethical, responsible, and effective use of emerging tools.
- Implement workflows and guidelines that improve speed, efficiency, and content quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Digital Product to shape the user experience, site enhancements, content modules, and product roadmaps.
- Partner with Events teams to create editorial programming, thought leadership, and high-impact event content.
- Support Marketing and Sales with insights and editorial alignment that strengthens brand value and audience connection.
Print, Events & Special Products
- Maintain oversight of print products, ensuring they remain efficient, relevant, and complementary to digital strategy.
- Lead or support content planning for signature events, special sections, rankings, and industry reports.
- Ensure cohesion between digital, print, events, and multimedia content.
Skills + Qualifications:
- 12+ years editorial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role guiding digital transformation.
- Proven track record of driving audience growth and managing performance using analytics tools (GA4, Parse.ly, etc.).
- Experience managing and mentoring diverse teams in fast-moving, multi-brand environments.
- Expertise in newsletter strategy, SEO, social distribution, and digital content formats.
- Demonstrated understanding of AI tools, emerging technologies, and their application in modern newsrooms.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in B2B, vertical media, or subscription-based businesses highly preferred.
- Reliable home internet connection with minimum 50mbps up/10mbps down.
- Flexibility to travel across our markets as needed.

- Implement a unified digital content strategy adopted across all markets.
- Improve key performance metrics including new website visitors, engagement, newsletter subscribers, and content efficiency.
- Strengthen collaboration with Product, Audience Development, and Events teams.
- Elevate editorial quality and speed through training and workflow improvements.
- Establish BridgeTower Media as a leader in AI-enabled, audience-first B2B journalism.
