About the Firm
Industria Business Lawyers LLP is a distributed, technology-forward law firm with operations in Washington, D.C., Miami, and New York. We advise businesses across corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, and commercial disputes. Our model pairs experienced solo attorneys with firm-provided infrastructure — billing, case management software, administrative support, paralegal resources, and a network of other solo practitioners — so counsel can focus on practicing law and produce big-firm quality output.
The Opportunity
IBL maintains a steady pipeline of commercial litigation matters referred through our corporate practice and client network. These matters are diverse — contract disputes, founder and partnership disagreements, construction payment claims, breach of fiduciary duty, and other business-to-business conflicts across a range of industries.
We are seeking a Florida-licensed business litigator to join the firm as of counsel and serve as lead attorney on these matters. The right candidate is someone who can receive an intake sheet or case summary, assess it quickly, develop a potential strategy, provide an estimated scope of hours with supporting rationale, and when necessary assist with closing the lead by participating in a brief consultation call with the prospective client.
We are open to one of two working relationships at this time:
A) Referral Partner. If you have your own intake and case management systems and the matter is better served in your practice, we can refer it directly to you for a referral fee. We're flexible — what matters is the client gets strong representation.
B) Lead Counsel Through IBL. You serve as lead counsel on the matter. We provide the infrastructure — billing, client management, paralegal support, and access to our network of attorneys if you need to staff additional counsel. We compensate you based on your hourly rate and you focus on the legal work. For contingency matters, lead counsel participates in agreed-upon percentage splits memorialized in writing.
What We're Looking For
An experienced commercial litigator who is comfortable handling a varied docket. The matters we see don't fit neatly into one category — one month it's a technology contractor suing a government entity, the next it's a maritime dispute or a construction payment claim. You should be someone who can work across industries and fact patterns without needing deep specialization in each one.
