Education/Experience:

• 10-15+ years of experience in Manufacturing and Process Technologies, with a focus on Food and Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods
• 8-10 years developing engineering strategies for manufacturing environments
• 5-7+ years of managerial experience over multiple engineering functions
• Project Management certification (PMP)
The Director of Engineering and Capital Projects is a crucial Global Engineering and Project Management team leader. This position spearheads strategic capital projects across the Global Supply Chain. The ideal candidate possesses a robust background in industrial spaces, with expertise in mechanical and electrical design and software integration for comprehensive sub-system capabilities.
Strategic Planning and Execution
• Lead Capital Critical Planning initiatives, aligning short-term and long-term projects with company objectives.
• Introduce innovative technologies to drive company growth and competitive advantage.
• Oversee project performance, including planning, resource management, quality control, and profitability.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
• Direct a cross-functional team of professionals, fostering collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
• Ensure proper coordination between team members, subcontractors, and clients.
• Provide work assignments and performance reviews to optimize staff utilization.
Technical Oversight
• Develop and approve Master Engineering Projects, including drawings, specifications, and data sheets.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and FM Global standards.
• Provide engineered solutions and root cause analysis for complex manufacturing issues.
Financial Management
• Lead budgeting processes for global engineering areas.
• Analyze costs and develop reduction plans for capital improvements and maintenance projects.
• Monitor and report on project performance to ensure contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
