Role: Dedicated Support Engineer - Rocky Linux Infrastructure (Advisory).
Duration: 6 months (8 hours a week)
Experience: Minimum 10-12+ overall years Centos Red Hat "Fedora"
Role Summary
Senior Rocky Linux infrastructure advisor providing proactive, strategic guidanceFocus on performance, stability, security, and operational excellenceAdvisory-only role (no hands-on implementation or system administration)
Key Responsibilities
Assess Rocky Linux environments and identify optimization opportunitiesProvide recommendations for compute, storage, and network configurations on Rocky Linux platformsAnalyzes the client system and storage performance and suggest Rocky Linux tuning strategiesAdvise on capacity planning and resource utilization for Rocky Linux systemsRecommend operational best practices and incident prevention strategiesGuide on automation and workflow optimization in Rocky Linux environmentsProvide patch management, security hardening, and OS lifecycle planning guidance for Rocky LinuxReview documentation and deliver knowledge transfer sessionsPrepare written recommendation reports and KPI trackingParticipate in regular customer advisory and review sessions

No hands-on configuration or remediationNo system administration or production changesNo staff augmentation or 24/7 operational support
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Rocky Linux (mandatory)Enterprise Linux experience (RHEL / CentOS) strongly preferredSolid knowledge of Rocky Linux OS internals and administration conceptsUnderstanding of compute, storage, and networking fundamentalsExperience with Linux performance and stability analysisKnowledge of patching, security hardening, and OS lifecycle management on Rocky LinuxAbility to produce clear technical recommendations and documentationStrong customer-facing communication and advisory skillsSenior-level experience in enterprise infrastructure environments
Preferred
