As a customer service support representative, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our customers. **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Support Representative, you'll be responsible for: * Providing exceptional customer service to patients and clients via phone, ensuring that their questions and concerns are addressed in a clear and concise manner * Researching and communicating complex information related to insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and billing * Navigating and working in multiple systems and websites simultaneously to resolve customer inquiries * Receiving and processing credit card payments over the phone, adhering to PCI compliance protocols * Initiating payment plans for patients with outstanding balances * Documenting telephone conversations clearly and accurately in our systems * Updating and maintaining records in our billing system, including reviewing accounts, payment collections, and case notes * Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines and regulations * Assisting with other duties as assigned by the team **License/Certification/Education** While a high school diploma is required, we highly recommend an associate degree or higher. Additionally, 1-3 years of applicable experience in customer service or a related field is preferred. **Competencies** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * Healthcare experience, preferably in medical billing and collection practices * Knowledge of professional medical billing and collection practices, including prior authorization and laboratory billing * Ability to interpret and apply understanding of insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) * Working knowledge of Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS) desired * XIFIN experience preferred * Medicare/Medicaid billing experience preferred * Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes highly preferred * Previous customer service experience handling high call volume preferred * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to follow established program protocols and procedures * Computer proficiency in MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience * Must be organized and detail-oriented * Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy * Understanding of Women's Health & Genetics Moms Helping Moms of Tomorrow processes, a plus * Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable **Physical Requirements** This role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. **Remote Technical Requirements** To work from home, you'll need: * Internet speed of at least 50 megabytes per second (no satellite internet) * Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord * Equipment cannot be connected through Wi-Fi **Schedule** You'll be working a standard Monday-Friday schedule, with the following hours: * 7:30am - 4:00pm PST * 8:30am-5:00pm MDT * 9:30-6:00pm CDT * 10:30am – 7:00pm EST **Pay Range** The pay range for this role is $15.50-$19.00 or State/Local minimum wage, if higher.
