Your exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, will enable you to effectively interact with patients, prescribers, and internal stakeholders, providing timely and effective solutions to their inquiries and concerns. Key Responsibilities Utilize Walgreens' prescription data entry methods and guidelines to process new patient enrollments, entering information into the appropriate system. Handle patient medication requests, investigating missing prescription information, and interpreting clinical abbreviations (SIG codes) as needed. Resolve third-party rejections by researching, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements. Provide support to pharmacists, both in the office and at other locations, recognizing and escalating issues to senior-level staff as necessary. Acquire and maintain an active professional license or certification within the initial 90 days of employment. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will possess the following essential qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Basic level computer skills, including starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse to point and click, starting and closing programs, switching between applications, saving files, printing documents, and accessing information online. Basic web browser skills, including opening a browser, typing in URLs, using a search engine, bookmarking a site, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online. Transitional level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents). Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will enhance your candidacy: At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment. Experience providing customer support to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction. Transitional to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents). Fluency in Spanish and English.
