Built with funding support from the National Eye Institute, arenaflex's Intelligent Engagement Platform maximizes the impact of multichannel, personalized engagement by a team of JCAHPO-certified ophthalmic care coaches. **Position Overview** The Billing Data Entry Specialist plays a vital role in supporting both internal and external customers by ensuring timely resolution of benefits questions, maintaining accurate data entry, and providing essential reporting to help achieve arenaflex's revenue goals. This position requires a detail-oriented and resourceful individual who can work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, and maintain focus in a repetitive work environment. **Key Responsibilities** * Encounter Management: Complete all necessary encounters for various practices, ensuring accurate data entry in the appropriate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. * Optometrist Referral Processing: Manage the referral process for optometrists by entering referrals from the EHR into Salesforce. Perform benefits verification prior to sending information to the Enrollment Manager. * Out-of-Pocket (OOP) Cost Ticket Requests: Address tickets related to OOP costs as generated by the Customer Care (CC) team. * Eligibility Queries: Respond to eligibility-related questions from the Enrollment Team as needed, utilizing EHR data. **Essential Qualifications** * Resourcefulness: Ability to find solutions to problems independently. * Detail-Oriented: Strong focus on accuracy and completeness of work. * Time Management: Effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. * Team Player: Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals. * Ability to maintain focus in a repetitive work environment. * Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry. * Capacity to handle sensitive data with confidentiality. * Effective time management skills while working remotely. * Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * High School Diploma or GED. * Minimum of 1 year of administrative, data entry, or equivalent experience. * Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite, with experience in Excel or Google Sheets. * Typing speed of 30-40 words per minute. * Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR), preferably NexTech or Athena. * Experience with clinical data entry. (Preferred) * Familiarity with Salesforce. (Preferred) * Knowledge of full cycle billing or coding processes. You will need a dedicated remote workspace with either a cable or fiber optic internet connection offering a minimum of 50 Mbps of download speed and 10 Mbps of upload speed of dedicated internet bandwidth for each person asking your network. Your workspace should be private and offer a low noise level conducive with managing frequent professional conversations and virtual meetings. It is also critical that your workspace be HIPAA compliant. For example, you will want to ensure access to your company-issued PC is restricted, as you may be handling confidential patient data at times.
