• As a Medical Scribe at Frontier Dermatology, you will be an indispensable member of our clinical support staff, working closely with our dermatologists to document patient encounters in real-time. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently capture the details of each patient visit, including medical history, physical examination findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and any procedures performed. This critical function allows our physicians to dedicate more focused attention to patient interaction and clinical decision-making, thereby enhancing the overall patient experience and improving practice efficiency.
• You will be privy to a wide range of dermatological conditions and treatments, gaining invaluable exposure to medical terminology, diagnostic processes, and therapeutic interventions. • Transcribing physician dictations, including diagnoses, treatment plans, and orders for medications, labs, and imaging studies.
• Recording details of medical procedures, including surgical excisions, biopsies, and cosmetic treatments, ensuring all relevant information is captured.
• Preparing and updating patient charts, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Assisting physicians with various administrative tasks related to patient charting and documentation, such as ordering tests or referrals within the EHR.
• Maintaining strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborating effectively with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure smooth workflow and optimal patient care.
• Familiarizing yourself with Frontier Dermatology's specific protocols, workflows, and EHR system to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
• Proactively identifying opportunities to improve documentation processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of the clinical team.
• Staying abreast of any updates or changes in medical terminology, diagnostic codes, or documentation requirements relevant to dermatology.
