• *Role Overview**
This is an unpaid, educational off-cycle internship designed for students seeking hands-on experience in investment banking deal origination and business development.
You will work directly within our origination division, identifying and engaging with potential M&A and capital raising targets. This is a client-facing, outbound-focused role — ideal for candidates who want to learn how deals are sourced, not just executed.
This is a remote, flexible-hours internship with high expectations and a steep learning curve.
• *Key Responsibilities**
• *Deal Origination & Outreach**
• Identify and research potential M&A and capital raising targets across key sectors.
• Build and maintain targeted prospect lists of business owners and decision-makers.
• Support outbound email campaigns to potential clients, including personalisation, sequencing, and response management.
• Qualify inbound interest and manage early-stage pipeline activity.
• Occasionally engage directly with prospects via phone and email.
• *Research & Analysis**
• Conduct sector, market, and competitive research to support origination strategy.
• Prepare short-form analytical summaries on target companies and sectors.
• Analyse and segment prospect databases by sector, geography, and deal size.
• *Pipeline & CRM Management**
• Maintain structured deal origination pipelines.
• Track outreach activity, response rates, and lead status.
• Coordinate with senior team members on handoffs and escalations.
