#1788 - Public Information Specialist 2 Digital Content Monitor websites, social media sites, and digital communications to ensure that information is kept current, fresh, informative, and appealing. Coordinate and review the upload content to YouTube and Flickr. Perform quality assurance checks of work to ensure that all editorial and graphic assets have been uploaded properly to the page, and are free of technical issues. Use the content management system to create, modify, and edit webpages under the direction of management. Work with staff and serve as liaison with Information Technology staff as needed to manage HTML coding for e-mail blasts and custom media projects. Provide support executing social media strategies. OR At least one (1) year of experience as a Public Information Specialist 1 (Digital Content). An Associate’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or similar degree, can be substituted for two (2) years of general experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or similar degree can be substituted for four (4) years of general experience.  A Master’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or similar degree can be substituted for one (1) additional year of general experience (not to exceed five (5) years of total experience). 55b/55c Program Appointment: This position may be designated 55 b/c and is subject to verification of applicant eligibility.
