They are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer I to join their Supplier Quality team, where the role involves resolving supplier quality requests, analyzing performance data, and managing supplier quality metrics.
Responsibilities
- Resolve requests from suppliers and buyers on supplier quality requirements and approved supplier issues. Working closely with members of supplier quality, supply chain, program quality and engineering to address issues preventing material procurement
- Create and publish supplier quality performance metrics / data. This will include analyzing defect and performance data to identifying trends, key drivers and opportunities for improvement
- Assist in management of supplier master data such as Quality Management System and supplier scope changes
- Engineering review of drawings and related documentation to determine appropriate quality requirements for purchased parts
Skills
- Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Experience using quality inspection methodology
- Experience using MS Office tools (excel, word)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Preferred majors would be Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical engineering
- Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills
- High energy, self – starter with ability to perform work under general direction
- Previous work experience, engineering experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability in developing solutions to issues using an organized systemic approach
