As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing product information in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, SMS, and chat, providing timely and effective solutions to their issues. Receive and/or place telephone calls, predominantly routine, but may require deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures. Maintain detailed and current knowledge of the company's/assigned client's products and services. Resolve basic or tier 1 payment and account-related requests, including card activations, payments, name and address updates. Utilize basic user-friendly Graphic User Interface (GUI) screens for client systems and established documentation and processes. Enter required data into client-provided systems and databases. Determine basic reasons for customer issues using a client-provided decision tree and escalate or refer unresolved customer grievances and requests to more experienced Customer Service Representatives or designated departments. Begin to build base knowledge and familiarization of products, policies, and procedures for a limited number of clients and an understanding of association guidelines and compliance. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong PC skills, with the ability to navigate multiple computer systems and screens easily. Ability to follow a script and adapt to changing situations. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Eager to learn, with a quick learner mentality and a positive attitude. Previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment. Ability to multitask, switching between different clients and systems. Ability to work with little direct supervision. While not required, having experience in the financial or payment industry, or being multilingual, can be a plus.
