[Remote] Metallurgist / Process Engineer

Molycop is a market leader in grinding media and mining industry services, seeking a Metallurgist/Process Engineer to enhance their technology and process capabilities. The role involves overseeing technical and commercial aspects of milling solutions, focusing on improving efficiency and throughput in mining/metallurgical processing plants. Responsibilities - Oversee and manage projects from inception to completion, including providing installation support (both remote and on-site), commissioning, calibration, and client training - Conduct visits to mineral processing plants in Canada, the USA, and internationally - Review and analyze operational data to provide actionable optimization advice to clients, enhancing their process efficiency and performance - Ensure the continuous availability and effective utilization of instrumentation and solutions by maintaining and supporting these systems - Collaborate with internal teams, including software and manufacturing, to facilitate the efficient deployment of solutions and support various internal projects - Assist with the testing and development of new products, contributing to innovation and improvement within the technology offerings - Prepare technical documents and reports, such as commissioning reports, operational guidelines, and conference papers, to document findings, share insights, and ensure compliance with industry standards - Leverage expertise as a metallurgical/process engineer to support advanced process control initiatives - Develop and deliver training programs for clients and internal staff on new technologies and best practices - Represent Molycop at conferences, site visits, and meetings, building and maintaining relationships with current and potential clients - Support and eventually lead technical and sales presentations to promote Molycop’s solutions and capabilities - Identify and engage new clients, manage client target lists within your region, and follow up on project proposals and leads - Understand solution pricing structures, complete proposals, and manage invoicing milestones to ensure project financials are accurately tracked and managed - Actively seek out new business opportunities and support the commercial growth of Molycop’s technology offerings through proactive engagement and follow-up - Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in products and services - Monitor and analyze competitor offerings and market trends to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge Skills - Green Card or US Citizenship required;
