Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Consilium Labs is a modern auditing firm specializing in SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other compliance frameworks. They are seeking a Junior SOC 2 Auditor to support SOC 2 Type I and Type II engagements, working closely with Senior Auditors and Project Managers to gain practical experience in security controls and audit execution.
Responsibilities
• Support SOC 2 and other audits by testing security controls and reviewing audit evidence
• Validate policies, access reviews, logs, reports, and system screenshots
• Map controls to SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria
• Track evidence requests, audit progress, and open action items
• Assist with SOC 2 gap assessments
• Collaborate with Senior Auditors, Project Managers, and client security teams
• Ensure audit documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready
Skills
• Must be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• 1+ years of experience in SOC 2, compliance, audit, risk, or information security
• Working knowledge of SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria
• Experience collecting, reviewing, or validating audit evidence
• Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
• Exposure to ISO 27001 or NIST frameworks
• Experience supporting SOC 2 Type II audits
• Familiarity with GRC tools or audit tracking systems
• Interest in pursuing certifications such as CISA, or ISO Lead Auditor
