About the Role
This is a high-activity, phone-led role focused on generating qualified appointments for our Field Sales team.
You’ll spend your day speaking to merchants, introducing Modern World, our products and services, and asking engaging, well-structured questions about their current payment provider. Your objective is clear:
ü Create quality, sales-ready appointments — every day.
You won’t be closing deals yourself. Instead, you’ll be opening doors, uncovering opportunity, and handing well-qualified conversations over to the Field Sales team to convert.

Responsibilities
· Make outbound cold calls to merchants using company-provided data
· Introduce Modern World Business Solutions clearly and confidently
· Ask engaging discovery questions around current payment suppliers, pricing, and pain points
· Identify decision-makers within target businesses
· Generate and book qualified appointments for the Field Sales team
· Maintain a strong daily call and activity volume
· Accurately update and manage activity within the CRM
· Work closely with Field Sales to maximise appointment quality and conversion
· Continuously build knowledge of the payments sector and merchant needs
Requirements
Essential:
· Proven appointment-setting or telesales experience
· Confidence making cold calls and handling objections
· A proactive, resilient mindset — you don’t wait for opportunity, you create it
· Strong attention to detail and accurate CRM usage
· Experience within payments, merchant services, or financial services
