Senior Engineer, Cyber Red Team

Description The Opportunity  The Senior Engineer, Cyber Red Team leads adversarial threat emulation operations against Customer networks and critical systems. The incumbent plans and executes offensive security engagements across the full attack lifecycle, identifies and evaluates vulnerabilities, assesses compliance with cybersecurity standards, and delivers clear reporting with actionable recommendations to technical and senior leadership audiences. The role includes follow-up validation of remediation efforts and investigation of security incidents to strengthen overall cyber defense posture.    Key Responsibilities  - Execute cybersecurity audits - Conduct penetration testing and security gap analysis - Evaluate vulnerabilities and weaknesses - Assess compliance with cybersecurity standards - Compile detailed reports outlining findings and risks - Recommend corrective actions - Conduct follow-up validation of remediation efforts - Investigate security incidents and recommend preventive measures Requirements - Eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance - Canadian citizenship required   Work Eligibility - Must be legally authorized to work in Canada   Language Requirement   - English required - French considered an asset   Education  - High School Diploma Required - Bachelors Degree in a relevant field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Technical Degree preferred   Required Skills, Experience & Abilities - 5-10 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, including conducting audits, evaluating vulnerabilities, analyzing security gaps, investigating incidents, and supporting remediation efforts - Experience in penetration testing or red teaming - Knowledge of cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, ISO) - Experience conducting vulnerability assessments Preferred Qualifications - Ability to document findings and recommendations - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - Ability to validate and synthesize multiple sources - Strong written communication skills   Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential duties of this role. Summary - Hybrid position - working hours are generally within standard daytime hours of operation Monday – Friday - The pay scale for this position in Ottowa, ON is $126,000 to $146,000 CAD per year based on experience and qualifications.    Exciting opportunities like this are better when shared.
