NRDC seeks full-time graduate interns for the Summer to support environmental advocacy through research, policy analysis, and project management.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
• Conducting literature reviews on relevant policy topics
• Drafting initial outlines or talking points for advocacy campaigns
• Researching laws, regulations, and case precedents to support legal opinions
• Investigating best practices and case studies on equity-focused policies
• Tracking project timelines and deliverables using tools like Asana
• Creating reports or dashboards for department heads using Excel or Power BI
• Collaborating with lawyers, scientists, and policy analysts across various program areas

• Current enrollment in a graduate program
• Interest in environmental and social justice issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Creativity and resourcefulness
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups
• Commitment to NRDC’s mission, values, and DEI principles
Compensation
• 10-week paid internship with a $10,000 stipend paid bi-weekly
