Overview Supply Chain Inventory Analyst Location: US Remote Compensation: $145K Reports toL Supply Chain Director Sun Auto Tire & Service is a top-10 independent tire dealer in the U.S. with 550+ locations operating under multiple brands. We are a leading provider of aftermarket tires and automotive repair services and continue to expand through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Position Summary The Inventory Analyst supports Sun Auto supply chain operations by ensuring inventory accuracy, system integrity, and timely processing of inventory-related transactions across stores, distribution centers, and 3PL partners. This role focuses on daily execution, transaction management, reporting, and issue resolution to maintain inventory visibility and support replenishment, warehouse, and finance teams. Success in this role is demonstrated through accurate data entry, disciplined purchase order management, clean variance reporting, organized documentation, and proactive communication with internal and external partners. Job Responsibilities • Execute inventory transactions and adjustments within VAST, ensuring system accuracy across stores, warehouses, and 3PL partners • Create, manage, and maintain purchase orders, including quantity updates, container tracking, and receiving timelines • Verify inbound receipts and reconcile POs to ensure accurate system posting and invoice payment coordination with Accounts Payable • Monitor and resolve open PO and open transfer discrepancies in partnership with replenishment and warehouse teams • Perform 6198 variance checks and conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies • Maintain and update inventory variance and open transfer Excel trackers using data extracted from Power BI • Process store closing inventory adjustments and support new store and Truck Shop openings with required HOST adjustments • Manage high-speed item adjustments and equipment receipts; provide required reporting to Controller and Transfer Office • Compile and distribute end-of-month inventory receipt summaries and adjustment documentation • Review daily receiving reports (e.g., ATD REC) and coordinate with 3PL partners to confirm inbound deliveries • Adjust and reconcile daily cycle counts and quarterly physical inventories for 3PL and warehouse locations • Support 3PL inventory health by monitoring stock levels and coordinating replenishment from regional warehouses • Maintain ecommerce price files within VAST, ensuring accurate and reasonable selling prices • Monitor VEW and other reporting tools for open or quoted ecommerce orders impacting inventory • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Replenishment, Operations, Finance, and 3PL vendors to ensure timely resolution of inventory issues Job Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field preferred • 1–3 years of experience in supply chain, inventory, finance, or operations (internship experience acceptable) Required Skills • Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data reconciliation) • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple operational tasks with accuracy • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally • Experience with ERP or inventory systems preferred • Familiarity with Power BI or reporting tools is a plus • Ability to articulate processes and research results.
