Parke Bank is a full-service commercial bank focusing on personal and business financial services. They are seeking an entry-level Technology Service Assistant to maintain the Bank’s computer environments, resolve issues, and support technology installations for employees and operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the processing of incoming calls to the Help Desk to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution
- Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications
- Monitor fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
- Attend training seminars to broaden knowledge of current and future Help Desk issues and technologies
- Escalate issues to the MIT vendor and ensure user’s issues are adequately resolved
- Assist with maintaining inventory of company software and hardware assets
- Research and make recommendations on software and hardware products and services
- Where necessary, dispose of obsolete equipment
- Work with vendors to ensure that the organization’s interests and needs are being met
- After hours or weekend work is sometimes required
- Perform any other work designated by supervisor
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25lbs
Skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- One to two years' experience or equivalent education required
- Abilities in analyzing issues and finding effective solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence, professionalism, energy, and an organized demeanor
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage duties and responsibilities
- Ability to deal tactfully with employees, vendors, suppliers, and contractors
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language to non-technical staff and end users
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Experience in a banking environment is a plus
- Help desk: 1 year (Required)
- Software installation: 1 year (Required)
- Configuring computer systems: 1 year (Required)
- Microsoft Windows Server: 1 year (Required)
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25lbs
- A valid driver's license and transportation to travel to satellite offices
