A registered nurse with telemetry expertise is needed for a night shift role at a well-equipped medical center located in Olathe, Kansas. This contract position focuses on delivering high-quality cardiac patient care in a dynamic acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and assess cardiac telemetry patients, responding promptly to physiological changes.
• Manage cardiac drips including Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, and Cardizem.
• Utilize experience with TR Bands following procedures.
• Support the initiation process for medications such as Tikosyn and Sotalol.
• Float across acute care units as needed to provide comprehensive patient support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Current Kansas RN licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year recent telemetry nursing experience; 2-5 years preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Experience working with cardiac drips and telemetry protocols.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm to 7:30 am), three days per week.
• Willingness to participate in weekend rotations every other week and holiday shifts as needed.
Schedule:
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 days weekly.
• Orientation includes comprehensive training sessions across multiple locations with EPIC EMR virtual training.
