Overview:
We are seeking smart, curious, and service-minded individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Applicant Navigator plays a key role in supporting applicants and customers by providing friendly, accurate, and efficient assistance through phone, email, and other communication channels.
This role is ideal for someone with high-volume call center experience who enjoys problem-solving and helping people navigate complex information with confidence and care.
Requirements
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Applicant Navigators at TruMerit are essential to delivering an excellent service experience. Team members:
- Provide clear, courteous support to applicants and customers by phone, email, and other communication channels.
- Handle a high volume of inquiries, including complex questions related to TruMerit’s services.
- Learn and use multiple internal and external software programs to support applicants effectively.
- Manage several tasks at once while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and a calm demeanor.
- Follow documented processes while using good judgment to resolve issues quickly.
- Contribute to team goals, support peers, and adapt to changing department needs.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction by ensuring every interaction is handled with care and follow-through.
- Role requires strong communication skills, solid organizational abilities, comfort navigating technology, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma and relevant work experience required.
- Associate degree preferred.
Experience, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience in a high-volume call center or similar customer service environment preferred.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, and the ability to learn multiple software systems.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing a positive customer experience.
