Part Time Payroll Analyst

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Analyst to manage and support payroll functions for our nationwide workforce. This is a Part-Time (20-30 hour week) and Fully Remote role, ideal for someone who thrives in both hands-on processing and analytical problem-solving. Responsibilities • Manage payroll operations for 1,200 employees across all 50 states • Review and validate timecard imports, deduction updates, and tax configurations • Audit payroll data for accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local laws • Reconcile payroll registers, tax liabilities, and benefit deductions • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax withholdings • Partner with HR Generalists to advise on benefit deduction impacts and employee scenarios • Support the Payroll Director with proactive audit reports prior to each payroll cycle • Assist with year-end payroll tax preparations • Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and Benefits teams to resolve discrepancies Required Qualifications • Minimum 3 years of payroll analyst experience • Proven experience running multi-state payroll for high-volume employee populations (50+) • Strong understanding of U.S. payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and benefit deductions • Analytical mindset with experience identifying trends and process improvements • Comfortable communicating payroll intricacies to employees, HR, and finance teams • Hands-on experience with payroll processing and data analysis • Excellent communication and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Paylocity • Familiarity with payroll audits, system configuration updates, and cross-functional reporting • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) #westpriority25 Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
