They are seeking a YouTube Growth Strategist to implement strategies that increase visibility, drive subscriptions, and grow their community of engaged viewers on their YouTube channel. Responsibilities • Develop and Implement Growth Strategies: Craft data-driven, actionable strategies to increase our subscriber count and grow our YouTube channel’s reach. • SEO Optimization: Optimize video titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails for YouTube’s search algorithm to improve video discoverability and boost CTR (Click-Through Rate). • Content Strategy: Work closely with our content team to develop video ideas that align with audience interests, viral trends, and popular entertainment topics. • Maximize Engagement: Create and manage engagement strategies that keep our audience connected, including comments, polls, and interaction through YouTube Stories and community posts. • Analytics & Reporting: Use YouTube Analytics to track performance, identify growth opportunities, and provide regular reports on subscriber growth, watch time, and engagement. • Cross-Promotion: Leverage other social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, TikTok) to drive traffic to the YouTube channel, and explore collaboration opportunities with influencers or other YouTubers. • Audience Retention: Identify ways to improve audience retention and average view duration on our videos. Implement strategies for encouraging repeat views and higher engagement on our videos. • Stay on Top of Trends: Continuously monitor and incorporate trending topics in pop culture, entertainment, and viral content to keep our channel fresh and engaging. Skills • Proven Experience Growing YouTube Channels: You have a track record of growing YouTube channels (preferably in entertainment, pop culture, or similar niches), with a strong understanding of what drives growth. • In-Depth YouTube SEO Knowledge: You know how to maximize YouTube’s algorithm to improve visibility, from title optimization to tags and thumbnail creation. • Passion for Youth Culture & Entertainment: You’re plugged into the latest trends, viral moments, and hot topics in pop culture, and understand what resonates with Gen Z and Millennial audiences. • Data-Driven Approach: You’re comfortable using YouTube Analytics and other tools to track performance and make informed decisions to improve growth. • Creativity & Collaboration: You thrive in a team environment, offering creative ideas and solutions for growing the channel and keeping content fresh. • Strong Communication Skills: You can engage with our audience in a fun, authentic way that aligns with the YoungEntMag voice and tone. • Experience with paid YouTube ads or video promotions to boost visibility. • Experience with social media content creation and growth strategies (Instagram, TikTok, etc.). • Knowledge of tools like TubeBuddy, VidIQ, or Social Blade. • Familiarity with video editing software or an understanding of video production is a plus.
