This role builds upon foundational tax and technology skills to support client engagements, configure systems, and contribute to project success. Tax Consultants are expected to demonstrate growing independence in problem-solving, communication, and technical execution, while collaborating closely with senior team members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Gather and process client data to support tax software configuration. - Perform mapping analysis and translate findings into tax solutions. - Validate and audit data inputs for accuracy and compliance. - Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth implementation. - Communicate project updates and technical details effectively. - Maintain detailed documentation of implementation steps and client interactions. - Support client training and onboarding activities as needed. Education and Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Tax or related field - Professional certifications not required but beneficial. - 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred - Working knowledge of sales and use tax law and compliance. - Strong data analysis and validation capabilities. - Familiarity with ERP systems and tax engines (e.g., Vertex, SAP, OneSource). - Experience with implementation templates and documentation. - Proficiency in Excel and internal tax software tools. - Effective communication and collaboration skills. - Attention to detail and initiative in problem-solving.
