Role Description
The Bioinformatics Scientist – Field Applications is responsible for the bioinformatics support for IDT’s secondary analysis software Archer Analysis which is utilized by Next Generation Sequencing product lines FusionPlex, VariantPlex, LiquidPlex and Immunoverse. The focus of this position is to enable our customer’s success and satisfaction by providing dedicated onsite and remote assistance on the data analysis related inquiries.
This position reports to the Manager, Bioinformatics Science – Field Applications AMR/APAC and is part of the Global Scientific Applications Support Organization working remotely to cover Mid-West United States.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Coordinate and conduct software trainings and data reviews using Archer Analysis and associated data at customer sites and/or remotely.
• Provide remote/onsite customer educations on software pipelines and features.
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and troubleshooting cases via email and calls.
• Discuss and resolve challenging cases collaboratively with other members of the Customer Success team.
• Engage in pre-sales conversations when technical expertise is required.
Qualifications
• Postgraduate degree in Genomics or Bioinformatics (or a related discipline). An equivalent combination of training and experience (minimum 3-5 years) will also be considered.
• Hands on involvement analyzing NGS data through academic or professional experience.
Requirements
• Ability to travel at least 50% within defined territory and occasionally supporting other territories as needed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 20lb, any other physical requirements.

• The annual salary range for this role is $105,000-$120,000.
• This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
