The Senior EHR Clinical Informatics Advisor serves as a strategic clinical expert and trusted advisor to executive leadership and the EHR PMO, ensuring alignment between organizational goals and a large-scale Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium implementation. The role focuses on advising senior leaders on implementation strategy, clinical standardization, governance, and best practices to drive a cohesive, enterprise-wide EHR solution. Rather than managing daily configuration, the advisor provides high-level oversight, guidance during program resets and course corrections, and ensures consistency across workstreams. Success requires deep informatics expertise, executive presence, and the ability to influence complex, multi-stakeholder environments. As the Senior EHR Clinical Advisor, you will: Serve as senior counsel to the PMO and the Office of the Functional Champion on all matters related to EHR implementation strategy, best practices, and clinical standardization Provide strategic advisement and recommendations to program leadership on matters impacting the EHR product, its implementation, and long-term optimization Apply deep clinical, functional, and technical knowledge of the Oracle Health EHR to help leadership achieve its strategic goals for the deployment Advise project leads across multiple workstreams on EHR program strategies, clinical standardization approaches, and EHR design governance principles. Champion enterprise standardization and provide expert review and guidance on process and workflow improvement initiatives Serve as a senior escalation point and advisor for enterprise-level design conflicts and strategic challenges Guide leadership on best practices for all phases of the EHR lifecycle, including design, testing, training, implementation, and optimization Identify and advise on key program impacts, strategic considerations, risks, and improvement opportunities Review and provide feedback on high-level program artifacts, strategies, and roadmaps to ensure they align with clinical best practices Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in senior clinical informatics, EHR program leadership, or large-scale healthcare IT consulting role Extensive and comprehensive hands-on experience with the Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium platform, demonstrating a deep understanding of its architecture and a wide range of clinical solutions Proven expertise in EHR implementation methodologies, clinical standardization strategies, large-scale change management, and EHR governance. Must have experience advising senior and executive-level leadership Previous Federal consulting or experience working within the DoD, Veteran’s Health Administration (VHA), or Military Hospital System (MHS) The ability to travel is an essential function of this role and may vary based on client, enterprise, or project needs, with up to 25% travel to client sites nationwide Must be a United States Citizen Candidates must comply with applicable client requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates The estimated base salary range for this job will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
