FairTutors is seeking passionate and committed online tutors specialising in GCSE and A-Level Humanities, with a focus on History and/or Geography. The ideal candidate will be confident teaching at least one of these subjects at GCSE level, with preference given to those who can also teach A-Level. A genuine commitment to helping students build strong subject knowledge, essay skills, and exam confidence is essential.
We provide comprehensive teaching resources so you can focus on delivering high-quality lessons. However, it is essential that you fully commit to every student you take on. If you are unable to consistently support your students, we kindly recommend not applying for this role.
Responsibilities:

Teach GCSE and/or A-Level History and/or Geography in an engaging and interactive online environment.

Explain key content clearly, including case studies, themes, concepts, and subject-specific terminology.

Support students with exam technique, essay structure, source analysis, and evaluation skills.

Adapt teaching approaches to suit individual learning styles and ability levels.

Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the FairTutors team.

Maintain clear communication and ensure lessons are well-prepared and consistent.
Requirements:

At least 1–2 years of teaching or tutoring experience, preferably online.

Strong knowledge of GCSE and/or A-Level History and/or Geography specifications.

Relevant qualifications, including strong GCSE and A-Level grades in History, Geography, or related subjects.

Undergraduate students, recent graduates, newly qualified teachers, and unqualified teachers are welcome to apply.

Gap year students with excellent grades and relevant teaching experience are encouraged to apply.

Ability to commit to all students taken on for the agreed duration.
