[Remote] Senior Tableau Consultant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Avaap is seeking a skilled Tableau Developer to join their Data, Analytics & AI team. The role involves partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design, develop, and deploy high-impact Tableau dashboards to support strategic and operational decision-making. Responsibilities • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine reporting and analytics requirements • Translate business questions into well-designed Tableau dashboards and data visualizations • Strategize, design, and prototype visualization solutions aligned to business objectives and user workflows • Analyze, prepare, and curate data using SQL and/or Python to support reliable and scalable reporting • Develop, test, and deploy interactive Tableau dashboards that are performant, secure, and production-ready • Ensure dashboards are intuitive, actionable, and aligned to defined success metrics • Implement visualization best practices, performance optimization techniques, and usability standards • Support dashboard releases, documentation, and knowledge transfer to ensure long-term sustainability • Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to improve data quality and reporting processes • Provide ongoing support, enhancements, and optimization for existing Tableau solutions Skills • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • 5+ years of professional experience developing dashboards and visual analytics solutions using Tableau • Proven experience strategizing and scoping with business leaders to align on a clear vision of business objectives and outcomes • Proven experience working closely with business stakeholders to gather detailed requirements • Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices and user-centered design principles • Proficiency in SQL for querying, validating, and preparing data from relational databases • Experience analyzing and shaping data to support reporting and analytics use cases and intuitively presenting/sharing insights with business leaders • Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Tableau dashboards in a production environment • In-depth knowledge of Tableau Server administration best practices • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions • Ability to work on multiple projects and handle competing priorities • Flexibility to learn new skills, clients, and geographies • Working knowledge Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively • Must be able to perform work indoors and remain stationary at a computer • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment • Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration • Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap's physical office locations • Current permanent U.S. work authorization required • Experience using Python for data analysis, data preparation, or automation • Experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks etc.) and other modern data management, visualization and ETL tools (dbt, Alteryx, Power BI etc.) • Solid understanding and exposure to modern, enterprise data management analytics best practices • Tableau certification(s) Benefits • Open PTO • Competitive vision, dental, and medical, including fertility coverage • Confidential Teladoc Mental Health therapy services • Paid parental leave • 401(k) match • Company-paid disability and life benefits • Employee Assistance Program, including behavioral health services • Fitness stipend Company Overview • Avaap is a technology and management consulting firm that helps organizations modernize systems, transform processes, and drive meaningful outcomes.
