Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities Works under the supervision of pharmacists and assists in various tasks related to medication management and patient care. Prepares and dispenses prescription medications to patients or other healthcare providers, under the guidance of a pharmacist. Gathers patient health information, performs medication reconciliations, and documents clinical interventions to provide clinical support to pharmacists and healthcare teams. Measures, counts, and packages medications accurately, ensuring the correct dosage and form of medication. Manages and maintains pharmacy inventory by restocking shelves, ordering medications and supplies, and ensuring medications are within their expiration dates. Receives and processes prescription orders, ensuring that all necessary information is accurate and complete. Communicates regularly with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure the quality of coordinated patient care. Provides basic medication counseling to patients, including instructions on how to take their medications and advising them of potential drug interactions. Participates in medication safety initiatives, such as error reporting and prevention efforts, to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines governing pharmacy practice and medication dispensing. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior Relevant Work Experience 0-1 year Essential Qualifications Working knowledge of problem solving and decision making skills Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required. When there is no manager onsite, the Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures that store operations run smoothly, and is responsible for ensuring the completion of all opening and closing procedures. (Greet, offer help, and thank) ∙ Handle all customer relations issues in accordance with company policy and promote a positive shopping experience for all CVS customers ∙ Maintain customer/patient confidentiality ∙ Complete all inventory tasks including placing orders, restocking shelves, and rotating product. Customer service skills, Preferred Qualifications : Retail Experience Inventory Experience Education : High School Diploma or equivalent Anticipated Weekly Hours 24 Time Type Part time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $17.00 - $34.15 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
